To maintain and upgrade our historical facility (Porter School is more then 120 years old!) and premises, but also to continue and improve our 3-Months Empowerment Training and the Aftercare Program for our graduates, we would appreciate a lot if the following could be donated:
For the 3-Month Empowerment Training & Aftercare
Computers, printers and fax machines for the students’ computer classes, the Career Resource Center and our Chrysalis Community Youth Clubs
Sport Equipment for the students’ sport development (soccer, cricket, rugby, netball, volleyball, basketball, pool noodles for swim program)
Magazines and books for the students’ library and the Career Resource Centre
Music instruments and Arts & Crafts utensils (for drawing, painting, beading etc.) for the students’ afternoon and evening program
For the Students Hostels
Single beds (steel or wood) and single mattresses (new or in good condition)
Tables and chairs (preferably stackable plastic ones)
Cloths material for curtains in the students’ hostels and tailoring skills course
Paint (beige or white) for the students’ rooms
Kitchen equipment (plates, cutlery, pots etc.)
Maintenance of the Premise & Facilities
Tools for wood and metal work
Plumbing equipment for upgrading of ablutions
