Quotes

“My experience was very good for me, it was fruitful… I learned a lot, I experienced a lot, especially in the outdoor, you learn how to manage… the route march, you get your mind set, the solo - you get your mind straight and you think of all the stuff that you did… and when you are coming out of this space then you realize yeah, that solo it helps for me because look at what I am now!.” (Graduate in 2007 from Elsies River)

Outdoor Phase Print E-mail
climbing2In the Outdoor Phase, the students head to the great outdoors where they can practice the newly acquired life skills, especially teamwork and problem solving. Their personal limits are tested and individual awareness is encouraged, while learning to abseil, kayak, rock climb and hike, amongst a host of other challenging activities. After this phase, students are allowed to see visitors for the first time since the start of the course.     By this time, they are all fit, highly motivated and their self confidence is obvious.
