Quotes

“I just decided maybe this can change my life, so let’s give it a shot for three months... the first week was the hardest week ever, actually the first day… but when I got used to the place… graduation... I didn’t want to go home. If I could come back I would come back on a course again.” (Female graduate in 2006 from Westlake)

Our Chrysalis Community Youth Clubs Print E-mail

youth day bambanani 1After the 3-month empowerment training when returning to their homes, our graduates are encouraged to give back to their communities as positive role models by volunteering at our established Chrysalis Community Youth Clubs (on the West Coast, in the Southern Cape and in the Cape Town Metropolitan Area).

Each Club has its own program depending on the specific needs of the respective community and provides different activities, such as sports coaching in primary schools, organizing school holiday programs and community events, networking with other youth structures and NGOs and participating in various community structures such as Community Policing Forums
