Health care at Chrysalis Academy is rendered by a chief professional nurse and a medical assistant. According to the World Health Organization, health is defined as a state of complete physical, psychological and social wellbeing and not just the absence of a disease or infirmity. We at Chrysalis Academy strive to achieve that goal by rendering a comprehensive health care service. We do this by treating our students holistically as a multi disciplinary team which includes:
Medical interviews prior to admission to the Academy to access medical fitness.
Physical examinations.
Treating of minor illness e.g. influenza, headaches, wounds care.
Prevention of illness by early detection e.g. blood pressure monitoring and urine testing.
Health education on drug addiction, tuberculosis, HIV/Aids, personal hygiene, sexually transmitted disease and family planning.
On completion of the course each student leaves thee Academy a well rounded individual health wise. Confidentiality of students is of utmost importance.
