“Before I came to Chrysalis, I was a person that would never speak, I was like this shy person, I never had the courage to speak to other people, if I didn’t know them...but after Chrysalis... I was like feeling motivated because I had experienced and I learned a lot from Chrysalis… how to be a people’s person and how to achieve more in life….and how to be open and how to help people that had problems and how to be a mediator and a motivational speaker.” (Female graduate in 2005 from Hanover Park)
Overview Our residential training is divided into four stages, which all students have to go through: Orientation Phase, Outdoor Phase, Skills Phase and the Community Phase. During each phase, the students are exposed to extensive physical activities, different learning areas and voluntary work to achieve personal development and to encourage them to become positive role models. They acquire social values, environmental awareness, life and leadership skills as well as career skills. Throughout the program, students have access to individual counselling and life coaching based on individual assessment. Furthermore, parent workshops and family sessions are offered to promote positive parenting and caring families in the communities
